Hebrews 13:8
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Dwell:
Christ is the constant, unchanging one. He has been faithful from eternity past. Therefore, no matter how we or our circumstances change, our Lord remains steadfast and unchanging. Consider how quickly our emotions and feelings shift with changes in our circumstances. Now think about God—His character and nature never change. Even in the worst circumstance, His crucifixion, His disposition was one of love and care toward those around Him. There was no bitterness, no anger, no finger-pointing—just sacrificial love. The cross is the ultimate expression of His immutability.
It brings great joy to the hearts of God's people when we consider that He has never broken His word or changed His purpose. God's purpose is for His people to be reconciled to Him. We can rest assured that nothing will change God's plan. He has been faithful since eternity past, and He will be faithful into eternity future.
Thought:
“He is IMMUTABLE, which means that He has never changed and can never change in any smallest measure. To change He would need to go from better to worse or from worse to better. He cannot do either, for being perfect He cannot become more perfect, and if He were to become less perfect He would be less than God.”
“The immutability of God appears in its most perfect beauty when viewed against the mutability of men. In God no change is possible; in men change is impossible to escape. Neither the man is fixed nor his world, but he and it are in constant flux. Each man appears for a little while to laugh and weep, to work and play, and then to go to make room for those who shall follow him in the never-ending cycle.”

Prayer:
Lord, your unchanging nature is a precious gift to my soul. Almost everything in my life changes so frequently. Yet, you remain the same always. You are faithful, day in and day out. This brings great comfort as I am often tossed around by the winds and waves of circumstances. Thank you for your immutable nature and character.
In Christ Name, Amen
